I was born in Paddington and grew up in Chiswick in Grove Park. After school in Barnes, I went briefly to Oxford Brookes to study business but left early and worked firstly abroad in New Zealand and then returned to work in Newmarket for Shergars rider Walter Swinburn. It involved selling yearlings (1 year old horses) at the Houghton and Highflyer sales. It was very interesting and very labour intensive. I left the industry to pursue more mainstream business experience back in London in the advertising sector working with diverse brands from Boots to Pepsi to Courage Ales. After that I went abroad to Madrid where I loved the city and worked successfully in financial services sales for 9 years. I returned in 2016 estate agency experience commenced and I worked in residential sales in central London as well as Chiswick and Wimbledon village. I also sold quite a few residential house boats with moorings. My fundamental aim is to provide a professional and communicative residential sales service at a more cost effective level within Greater London by reducing overheads that competitors typically pass onto their clients. As an independent but locally knowledgeable agent I have the backing of VC Estates.
Chiswick
What is now called Chiswick was a compound of three separate villages – Old Chiswick, Turnham Green and Strand on the Green, plus the hamlets of Little Sutton and Stamford Brook. Chiswick is a well known destination in west London for professional people from all backgrounds, especially the arts and broadcasting (proximity to BBC). There are defined and desirable residential estates across the postcode which have been pointed out rigorously by most estate agents in the borough. I thought it more interesting to outline some other salient facts about Chiswick and it´s inhabitants past and present. William Hogarth (1697-1765) the famed painter and creator of The Rake´s Progress moved to Chiswick to escape the noise and smell of central London and his house still stands next to the busiest road in the area. His statue is situated on the High Rd south of Turnham Green Terrace.

“A refreshingly different approach to buying a house: great local knowledge and a depth of useful and relevant experience. Alison and David removed a lot of the stress and hyperbole involved with buying a house and made the whole process a lot more enjoyable.
Genuinely helpful from first contact to completion and beyond. I cannot recommend them highly enough.”
